Hurrah! It's stone fruit season and we are in heaven. It has taken awhile for the fruit to start coming in here in Idaho, but now here come the nectarines marching! This pie celebrates the sweet tart flavor of our favorite fruit, a slightly more acidic sister of the peach. A sweet unique pie with a little tart punch. Sour Patch kids have nothing on this pie!
Pie comes in a 10 inch tin and serves 8-10 people.
Ingredients: nectarines, flour, butter, sugar, vegetable shortening, tapioca starch, apple cider vinegar, salt, vanilla extract, lemon juice, egg.
