Spiced Pear Pie with Pecan Streusel
Chinese Five Spice is a new spice for us and we love it’s complex flavor. It has all these bright, punches of flavor that are unexpected and addictive. The hint of pepper and then the layers of anise, star anise, cinnamon, cloves and ginger combine with the pears and the pecans to give you a pie that warms your tummy as you eat it. Sweet and spiced, not spicy, with luscious nuts and streusel.
Pie comes in a 10 inch tin and serves 8-10 people.
