We loved our pear pie with pistachio frangipane so much, we thought we'd have some fun and come up with a new combo! Traditional frangipane is made with almonds, so we thought we stay within the lines and use traditional frangipane with the juicy strawberries. This pie tastes like an almond croissant slathered with strawberry jam. Rich, and decadent, and maybe if you close your eyes you can imagine yourself in Paris!
Pie comes in a 10 inch tin and serves 8-10 people.
